SUMMER 2011
Again this, our 17th summer, we are offering five separate weeks of classes. Due to popular demand and past success, each week will include a vegetarian day. The menus below show just some of what will be prepared – there will be additional recipes along with those included here. Each day, new techniques are taught by demonstration. Next, the kids work on one or two recipes with a partner. Once everything is ready, they sit down together at the dining tables and enjoy the meal they have prepared. After your registration is received with full payment, a confirmation and liability form will be emailed to participants. Week 1: Monday, May 30 through Thursday, June 2…
(8-12 yrs. old) $180 FULL
Meatless Monday: Includes – Polenta with Roasted Vegetable Ragout, Phyllo & Cheese Packets, Caramelized Onion & Cannellini Flatbread, and Apple Strudel. Pasta & Cupcakes: Includes – Spaghetti with Bolognese, Penne Primavera, Buffalo Chicken Lasagna, and a variety of Cupcakes. Soups & Sweets: Includes – Baked Potato & Bacon Soup, Turkey Sausage & Tortellini Soup, Summer Tomato-Thyme Soup, and Sweet Surprises. Egg Roll & Wonton Magic: Includes – Shredded Chicken Salad with Wonton Crisps, Spinach & Herb Pot Stickers, Banana Spring Rolls, and Ice Cream atop Chocolate Wontons.
Week 2: Monday, June 6 through Friday, June 10…
(13-17 years old) $225 THIS WEEK IS FULL
Will be the same “Week 1” Menus as above with additional recipes daily. Additionally, there is a Friday graduation lunch where each student may invite 2 guests for lunch; the students create the menu, cook, host, and serve.

Week 3: Monday, June 13 through Thursday, June 16…
(8-12 yrs. old) $180 THIS WEEK IS FULL
Meatless Monday: Includes – Black Bean Chili, Tostadas, Lentil Tacos, and Dulce de Leche Mini-Cheesecakes. Salads & Sweets: Includes – Cobb Salad, Pot of Gold Chopped Salad, Quinoa Chicken Salad, and Sweet Surprises. Breads & Cookies: Includes – Rosemary Flatbread with Fresh Chickpea Hummus, Multi-Grain Bread with Quick Strawberry Jam, Cheddar Pepper Bread, and Lemon Curd Cookies. Citrus Twist: Includes – Lemon Chicken Couscous Salad, Mixed Citrus Baby Back Ribs, Baked Lemon Shrimp, and Orange Olive Oil Cupcakes.
Week 4: Monday, June 20 through Friday, June 25…
(13-17 years old) $225 THIS WEEK IS FULL

NEW TWEEN-TEEN Week 5: Monday, June 27 through Friday, July 1… (11-16 yrs. old) $225 THIS WEEK IS FULL
Meatless Monday: Includes – Cheesy Thyme Crisps, Hush Puppies, Meatless Gumbo, Red Beans & Rice, and Banana Crepes. Pizza & Ice Cream: Includes – White and Green Pizza, Bacon-Cheeseburger Pizza, Caramel Ice Cream, and Reece’s PB Ice Cream. Sandwiches & Sweets: Includes – Classic Club Sandwich, Spanish Ham and Cheese Sandwich, Barbecue Turkey Sandwich, and Sweet Surprises. Stuffed!: Includes – Ricotta and Spinach Stuffed Shells, Pesto Chicken Tortellini, Italian Ravioli Soup, and Ice Cream Stuffed Vanilla Shells. Additionally, there is a Friday graduation lunch where each student may invite 2 guests for lunch; the students create the menu, cook, host, and serve.

In the subject line of your message, type: Please add me to your e-mail list 3. In the body of your message, type: your name and telephone number. Brochures are sent by email in early March for the next summer’s classes.
We only hold scheduled kid’s classes during the summer. If you are interested in private group classes, for kids or adults, (minimum 10 students, minimum age 8 yrs. old) please contact us for details.
