More Maui

We had a great time. We’ve done so many fun activities like Kayak Rental Maui, swimming, paddle boarding, and just relaxing! The food hasn’t let us down either. The fabulous lunch we had at Mama’s Fish House was not the only delicious food we had on Maui.

tuna tower

One night we ate at Leilani’s On The Beach. The food was good, and we especially enjoyed the Spicy Tuna Tower -Sushi rice, avocado, micro greens, and spicy ahi.

sunset crowd

Honestly though, it was really all about the stunning ocean sunset view. We arrived just in the nick of time, there was a complete frenzy of people trying to get “the perfect shot.”

I think I go with it!

plantation house

On our last night in Maui, we ate dinner at The Plantation House.

Here is what the restaurant’s website boasts –

High above the Kapalua coastline in Hawaii, on the island of Maui, sits The Plantation House Restaurant, a thoroughly modern blend of traditional plantation-style atmosphere, old-fashioned Hawaiian hospitality and the finest in island cuisine. Since opening in the Kapalua Resort area in 1991, The Plantation House Restaurant has earned a top reputation among Maui’s best restaurants for serving innovative cuisine in a picturesque setting. The restaurant is proof that fine dining can indeed blend well with Maui’s casual island style.

The restaurant’s location takes advantage of the spectacular tropical vista from its unique vantage point on the Plantation Golf Course at Kapalua, with views of the north shore of Maui, the surrounding pineapple fields, and the islands of Lanai and Molokai. Each evening, diners are treated to the stunning palette of colors painted by Maui’s breathtaking sunsets over the Pacific Ocean.

Yep, that about sums it up!

And you know that with me, it’s all about the packaging and presentation. (remember the toilet paper from the previous post?!)

pretty wine

Just look at my glass of wine!

shortribs

Of course, the food was outstanding. I needed a departure from fish for one meal and since we were at such an outstanding restaurant, I opted for the Braised Beef Short Ribs with Root Vegetables.

crispy skin salamon

Dave, on the other hand, is a die-hard, so he had the Salmon Special, which was prepared with the crispy skin-on with roasted Brussels sprouts, sun-dried tomatoes, Israeli couscous, and a chile-tomato coulis.

There you are. Nearly everything we ate in Maui – next post – The Best Thing We Did!

Another one of my favorite spots. Always yummy! Another spot to try is Gerard’s in Lahaina. Save it for next time.
