Happy Memorial Day

A huge helping of gratitude, love, and prayers to all those we remember today… all the courageous men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for freedom and democracy.

To help remind Americans of the true meaning of Memorial Day, the “National Moment of Remembrance” resolution was passed in December 2000. It asks that at 3 p.m. local time, all Americans “To voluntarily and informally observe, in their own way, a Moment of remembrance and respect, pausing from whatever they are doing for a moment of silence or listening to ‘Taps.”

I love not only that idea but can just imagine that if we all lived by “The ABCs of Life”, there may not be a need for all that sacrifice for future generations.

Hi Linda,
I hadn’t seen those ABC’s of Life before. I will take a copy of them to keep, share with others, and read once in awhile. You are so right if we all did those things we would be a land of caring and giving.
Thanks for sharing them.
