5 seconds that RULE!

The days are long but the years fly by too quickly!

If you are a parent, whether it be of a newborn infant or adult children – such as my 24 and nearly 21-year-old – that is the most profound, real, true, accurate, undeniable, honest statement.

It’s been over two years since I told you about a blogger that I admire more than just about any other. She is Cheryl Sternman Rule and her outstanding blog is 5 Second Rule.

I have had her link on my blogroll (over there on the right side of this page —->) these two-plus years, but I don’t really know if you check out my blogroll or not. I want to draw your attention to her again.

The post that Cheryl put up yesterday just spoke to my heart.  It is entitled Yes, it counts. I urge not only parents, but especially my 20-somethings, and other young adults to read it and keep it in their own hearts and tucked away in their mind for when you are feeling lost and confused. It is as honest, true, and real … as that statement above.

I thank Cheryl for her loving words and beautiful (sometimes hilarious!) writing. We have never met but please know that you inspire me – each and every day.

Oh, Linda. You have stunned me with your kind words, and the pictures of your beautiful children actually brought tears to my eyes. It will be a very short while before my boys are as grown up as your kids. I love that they have their arms around each other in both photos.

Thank you for honoring me on your site in this way.

Cheryl, my absolute pleasure. And you are right, it will be like the blink of an eye. But the good/bad news… they still need you and they end up showing you what a wonderful job you did raising them. That is the best payday of all time! xoxo
