April Fool

Sometimes April 1st sneaks up on me before I can plot and plan my April Fool’s prank.

Not this year.

son

This year I enlisted Connor’s help. He agreed to go to Costco with me to get the supplies as long as I’d stop at the grocery store to get two of the three needed ingredients for Rice Krispies Treats.

Deal.

Connor at work

Here is what Connor and I did with the Post-it® notes we bought.

passenger side

We covered all the windows of Dave’s car with the colorful squares.

Plus we left a little message on the hood.

8:30 AM UPDATE – I woke up at 4:00 AM so that I could do this to Connor’s door…

dead of night

It is way louder than one might think to try to pull this off in the quietness and stillness of the dead of night!

light of day

As of this moment, he is still asleep, so I don’t have his reaction yet.

But at 7:15, Dave did wake me up…

peel those off

He had one side of the car done but said he needed help to get the rest off or he’d be late to work…

good sport

Since he was such a good sport … even taking photos of it for himself, I helped undo my handiwork.

Happy April Fool’s Day!

Marissa, what’s with this “poor daddy” comment? You mean you’re not carrying on the tradition and pulling something on Jeff?! There’s still time! Visit my April Fool’s Pinterest page – lots of ideas there! http://www.pinterest.com/lpgourmett/fool-s-gold-april-fool-s-day/
