Marissa and I went down to Phoenix Ranch Market on 16th Street and Roosevelt specifically looking for roasted Hatch green chiles, and happily, we found them. If you haven’t been yet, make a lunch-time field trip with your friends or your kids and go, good times!

The store is expansive, with a wonderful hot food section called La Cocina (The Kitchen) La Tortilleria, a beautiful seafood section with fresh ceviche, an Aguas Frescas (juice stand), Su Panaderia (bakery), a colorful produce section packed full with exotic and inexpensive fruits and vegetables, as well as an extensive – must see meat department with house-made chorizo shaped artfully into a pig. Unfortunately we forgot our cameras, so the store pictures are all “lifted” from Google images.
